In the add listing form, there is a category field, I chose the category display type to multiselect. However, I found that the appearance of multiselect type is different from the custom multiselect field.
How can I change the category field looks like the other custom multiselect field?
    Thank you.

At the moment that is not possible. Given that almost nobody uses the category multiselect, nobody reported this as of yet. I’ve added it as a task for developers to improve the add listing form.

    Thx

I’m not 100% sure it will be in this very next version as we are very close to release it. It could be pushed to the next, it depends how long it will take to fix.

    Thanks

This is a dilemma for me. I charge different price for diff categories. Customers can choose the categories they want to be listed in. Categories are priced differently….i.e. a lawyer makes more income than a baker, so his cost to list on site is higher monthly fee than a baker.

Can the Place Package Setting Page or Place Setting be modified to allow a vendor to select multi-categories. Then .js add selected categories to net amount at checkout?

This is the same as going to Walmart and buying a shirt, tie, and shoes and final checkout will include the cost of all 3 items.

No documentation on how to make this happen.

Any ideas would be helpful……ha ha.

You can set a price package to allow a vendor to add themselves to any number of categories, just create a package that allows up to 3 categories and price it different than a package that only allows only 1 or 2.

To charge different based on capacity to pay for the same product will only encourage the lawyers to list as bakers?

    Thank you and i understood!!

However, our vendors should have full access to choose which categories brings them the most business. Keeping in mind that our account rep will always verified that a lawyer listing is not being displayed under baker’s categories. Each listing must be approve and but would not be beneficial for a lawyer’s business if he’s listed under Baker category.

I also just figured out how to provide additional categories for selections…(baker, caterer, cake,)….got it!

Now I have to figured out how to add additional categories custom field to the shopping cart. This you’ve got to help me with……ha ha ha

    This is not possible.

The only way to charge different price based on category, is to make category specific prices.

    Thank you
