I have a multiselect custom field with a large number of types of cuisine options included, set at select (see add_listing_custom_field.png). If I use the the ‘checkbox’ or ‘radio’ display type settings, it takes up a lot of space on the page, especially with a large number of cuisine options, so I’d prefer not to use those if possible.
The problem I have is, if someone is using a touch screen, such as on a mobile phone or table, they can only select one option, not multiple options. With a physical keyboard one would simply hold down the control (ctrl) key to select multiple cuisine options.
I noticed in the backend in the Design – Navigation – Post type navigation settings (see design_navigation.jpg) that I can select and delete multiple options using a touch screen. There are some rectangular option labels in the box that can be added and deleted. Is it possible to have this in the frontend for touch screen users? Can you suggest anyway around this? What are my options?
I am not a website developer, so I’d probably need someone to set it up for me if it involved any complicated coding.
    Thanks for your help.
