Multisite for GD

    We are about to do multi language and localization for GD, we want to use multisite, question is that if we translate the sub site, will it affects main site? Especially text in search bar where they have to be configured in setting.

    Is GD in sub site a fresh copy or shared with main?

    Is GD settings are global in multisite environment? Eg languages for title, category name etc.

    Multisites are basically completely independent sites, only users are shared, and all sites use the same database and WP files.

    Do NOT network enable GD.
    Nothing [except users] are shared, so each site needs to be set up separately.

    Thanks Guust,

    So if we want to localize directory by language or country, it is better to establish a new independent site, with sub-domain, separate database. Is this what you will suggest?
