Multisite installation, will it break things right now

    in eager anticipation of release of WordPress 5.0 and WPgeodirectory plugin multisite compatibility…

    quick question…

    as of right now… if we install WPgeodirectory and activate it on the primary/main site of a WP multisite installation, will it break things?

    for this purpose, not necessarily looking for activation and syncing of listings/users on subsites, just have one directory on the main site

    Hi,

    the problem is due to some database tables not having the wp_ prefix.

    I’m not 100% sure, but I don’t think it matters if it is activated on the main site or on any subsite. I’m almost positive it will not work proerly.

    here’s the question…

    are you guys really going to release a version of WPDirectory that will work on multisite in the near future? ie within 30 to 45 days.

    please understand, it is understood that this might not be trivial to do given that the plugin wasn’t designed for multistite database tables to begin with

    But I just renewed annual subscription… because awaiting multisite

    which is fundamental to my business, and will need to launch with other product(s) that are not as good as WPGeodirectory plugins –

    I need to make an executive decision and present it to the board, before they fire me over this

    Hi,

    other than being fundamental for many of our customers, it is something that is really urgent for GeoDirectory too.

    Until the plugin isn’t multisite, we are unable to provide a sandbox demo for all addons to test the plugin before buying it, which could be a deal breaker for some and we definitely don’t want that.

    Yeah, a realistic ballpark would be most helpful. In August, a “few weeks” has gone longer. 😉
