I have a question about how Multisite would work with this plugin.

I want to create a network of sites for the counties/localities in my area.

For example, I want city1.com and city2.com on the same Multi-Site network.

Let’s say a business wants to list Tom’s Sandwich Shoppe on both city1.com and city2.com.

Would the owner of Tom’s Sandwich Shoppe be able to manage both listings (the one on city1.com and city2.com) from the same profile? Or do they have to have a profile on both city.com and city2.com?

I apologize if this is more of a general Multisite question, but I never used multisite before.

    Hi Jeremy,

Thanks for your post. Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to link both GD in a multisite and your users would have to have a profile on both city.com and city2.com to manage the listings.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. Just so we are clear, GD does still work with Multisite, correct? So I could still use a multisite implementation to make management easier? But users will still have to make a profile on both sites, regardless.

    Hi Jeremy,

Thanks for your reply. Yes, you can install GD in multisite. But you can’t share information between the multisite. I hope this clears it up.

    Thanks!

    Hello!

    To clarify:

    1. GD may not be Network Activated. It can be installed on the Network site, but must be activated on each individual site.

    2. Listings are not shared between different sites in a multisite.

    3. Our plugin UsersWP can be used to allow users to have one user profile across multiple sites in a single multisite. https://userswp.io and for detailed info see: https://userswp.io/docs/network-activation/

If the user has one user account, with the same login info for each site, then it is that much easier for them to manage listings on each site.
