Multisite/geodirectory/bbpress?

    Hello, I realize that this really isn’t a support question but I’m hoping someone might be able to offer some advice.

    I will soon be launching my site, I am currently using geodirectory and buddypress but am thinking about adding on bbpress as well. Should I run the forum with wp multisite or would the single install work just fine? I’ve never used multisite before but I read another post here that had suggested running geodirectory, bbpress, and an ecommerce option all on their own multisite. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi Joy,

    My advice would be if you plan to either have a big directory or a big forum then to split them into multisite, GD, bbpress and most e-commerce plugins are web applications that will take a lot of resources, if they are split into their own multisite then they will only have to load their code into memory individually.

    Multisite is a little complicated to setup sometimes but it’s all very simple once installed and working. I would choose the directory approach (site.com/shop/) rather than the subdir one (shop.site.com)

    Hello, I have gone ahead and setup my wp multisite. I am having trouble with my bbpress and my buddypress linking up though. When logged into my buddypress and I try to access my subdomain(where forums are hosted) I am redirected to the buddypress registration page. I have no idea what I’m doing…

    Is there anything you can suggest? I’ve read tons of things online but I’m still not understanding what I’m doing wrong. Thank you.
