    HI Guys
I just got an inquiry from a new client and they want an online directory. I told them to ONLY use wpgeodirectory, because basically you guys are the best.

Before I start, is there anything MAJOR I need to know about using Supreme Directory or other with Gutenberg or whatever.

Essentially, I built this last summer https://superseoflorida.com/
So I”m probably going to use GDF Modern again.

I’m getting more comfortable in PHP, but this is a paid job, so it’s go time.
I’ve build 3 directories for myself in WpGeodirectory, and feel confident I can do it for a client
with all of your wonderful help you offer because you guys kick ass.

    Thanks!
    Mark

Hi Mark, GeoDirectory Framework [GDF} is not ready for V2 yet.
    Supreme does not require GDF.
Supreme and V2 and WP5 should work nicely together, but if you get stuck, you know where we are 🙂

    HI Guust –
But GDF Modern will work with WP5 right?
I don’t need to reinvent the workflow I already have to learn a new theme.
Just need to decorate it more.

    I’ll try Supreme
    Thanks!

But GDF Modern will work with WP5 right? Yes, but not guaranteed with V2 yet.

    ok I don’t need to use v2 –
I’ll stick with Modern because I don’t want to learn Supreme.
It’s not the look I’m going for and find that Modern does that better.

I tried Supreme before I did my superseo directory and found it hard to work with.
Sorry to say that, but it’s just feedback.

    THanks!

Guust sorry thanks one mroe please
If I”m not going to use a Geodirectory theme, I can use v2 with shortcodes, I believe.
    Is that still correct?

If which will run wordpress 5 I could test v2 since I’ll be using shortcodes I think.

    I’ll test it.
    Thanks!

You should be able to use V2 with any WP compliant theme. New sites are best started with V2 so you will not need to convert later down the line.
In WP5, V2 uses “blocks” for the GD shortcodes if you use Gutenberg. Using the Classic editor, you will be using shortcodes. They are really the same thing …
