Near Me – Default

    Can we set the near me option as the default. I don’t want to have to check the box as it just adds an extra step.

    Hello, what you could do is to change the value for the Near field, so if someone just click the Search button, he will search for the near me, and if he wants to search elsewehere, he could type in the location. To do that, rename the attached file to listing-filter-form.php, create a folder named geodirectory in your child theme’s folder, and move the file in there.

    I actually want to have the near me box checked so it automatically pulls my geolocation. Thanks!

    Hi,

    you just need to turn on GeoLocation. Users will still have to click to authorize their browser to share the location.

    If there are places near them, they will see the nearme page. You can also add the near me button widget if you want a one click solution.
