New Custom Field Error-supreme

    Hi,

    When I try to create new custom Field (Multi Select), I get an error, which reads as:

    “Column creation failed, you may have too many columns or the default value does not match with field data type.”

    I already created about 80+ custom Fields. Is there any limit applied, if so how can I remove the limit?

    Your response will be appreciated.

    What are the settings you are using? Try not to use a default value. Let us know.

    Hi Guust,

    I am unable to understand your question.

    What settings are you referring to. I am not aware of any settings for custom Fields. Pl show me the link to that so that I can have it rectified, if necessary.

    For your info, I already have more than 100 Price Packages and more than 80 Custom Fields created.
    I need to create additional custom Fields for about 40 more price packages.

    My site is almost ready and is due to be launched by 12th May, 2016, by which time, I need to sort out some bugs already reported in the forums, like Events, Send to Friend Button, Auto Complete issues, Renewal of my Licence etc.

    I request you to pay priority to this and will be highly obliged.

    Give us URL, WP admin details, and details of the CTP and the custom field you are trying to add.
    I already understand you want a multiselect field, but give us the other details so, so we can check it on your site.

    Hi Guust,

    I had given a link to the Sub Site : eyp.co.in/hyderabad, (not in the main site: eyp.co.in) where the problem occurs.

    I have been leaving the DEFAULT VALUE FIELD blank.

    The moment I enter more than 10 options, I am getting the error, which was not the case earlier.

    Need a serious look in to it.

    I think there is indeed a limit of 12 columns per custom field, I’ll confirm that.

    I saw the Hospital CPT so I thought that was where you wanted it.

    You possibly have reached the number of columns in the database table.
    Can you check the number of column in the table?

    Or post your database access details, control panel of phpmyadmin credentials.

    Hi Guust,

    I had earlier used Multi select custom field for Doctors Custom Post and entered as many as 40 options and it appeared in the front end very well.

    Scroll down almost to the last (just before Upload of Images) and check the “FIELD OF SPECIALISATION AND TYPE”. Here’s the Link: http://eyp.co.in/hyderabad/add-listing/?listing_type=gd_place&package_id=23

    Something is going wrong somewhere…need to dive into it.

    Hi Guust,

    Any luck? I hope you are looking at a possible solution for the error.

    My work has come to stand still because of this as I need to update the custom Fields in this manner.

    Now, in addition to the problem with Multi Select, I am unable to add Custom Field “upload file”.

    There appears to be a serious problem somewhere!
