No Image on Free Listings

I’m editing my listing packages and changed the free listing to have 0 images. My intent is that the “no image” image would show as the thumbnail. But listings that are already entered with images continue to display the old image even after I set that package to 0 images.

Perhaps I need to remove the image from the listing, but that won’t solve the problem of what happens if someone buys a listing then downgrades to the free one. In that case I would want their custom image to be replaced with the no image.

I read the thread below and it indicates this should work, but maybe I’m missing some other steps?
