Hello I am trying out GeoDirectory core plugin. I’m running into the “No Records Found” problem. I searched for this in this forum and learned that the problem could be caused by either not having any dummy data or category set up. I have done both, but for some reason am still seeing the error on all maps. One other thing I have done is set my location (to an address in San Francisco). Could this have broken something. Please advise.

My development site is at mrktguru.com/geodir/

It looks like you changed your default location after adding the dummy listings.
Try editing the address of the listings and re-save.

    Thanks

Hello, I just checked, and apparently you have removed all “places” except for 10 of them, which all have San Francisco addresses. And the maps work now, the error has gone away.

Does this mean that I can start adding more listings now, and as long as they have their addresses in San Francisco, the site will work?

To add more locations, I would need the “Locations” Add-On, correct? How does the Locations add-on work? Once I have that add-on, can I have an additional search box, i.e. one for country, and one next to it, for Cities?

Thanks for your fast response, I look forward to adding real listings to the site.

You should not change default location after adding listings, so that was indeed the problem.
With the Location Manager you can add listings anywhere.
The “Near” field of the Search will automatically turn into a field that will allow suggestions and other searches.

    Thanks
