I wish all the replies to fix this issue were not always blacked out. I can understand blocking out any secure details but the fix for this is never shown.
Just like everyone else, I had set everything up, got my Maps API all configured and the site was running fine for quite a few weeks – I only had a few listings in the system and they all would show the map fine. Then today we finally had, what we thought, was a good .csv file ready to load about 1900 records into the system. Everything went fine but most entries were not loaded. We did not have lat/long data for every entry. So we realized it would be a while before we could upload all the data again with the correct data.
So we were back with our small few listings only in the system and then for every listing we now get this error:No Records Found
Sorry, no records were found. Please adjust your search criteria and try again. Can you please help us figure this out?
Thanks,
ScottNovember 10, 2019 at 12:19 pm #516532Firstly, there is no need to add lat and lng if you are using full and correct addresses, and you have the Google API set up correctly.
Try re-saving the listings. Are you getting any errors that correct the listing if you fix the errors?
Please post a zipped copy of the CSV file, your URL and WP admin details in a private reply if we need to check your settings.
Thanks

Your search template is made with Elementor. You will need to remake it as a theme builder tempalte with Elementor pro to get it to work.
November 11, 2019 at 9:44 am #516573Thanks Alex,
Even if we get the location manager add-on you still have not explained why/what is wrong. Everything was working fine until we tried the import of the csv file and we kept being told the the geocode or something like that was not allowing the import to complete and it only added the 6 records that did have lat/long info. Is it because that lat/long info is considered outside the circle/radius of the city we selected?
I really needed the proof of concept that this would work without having to spend anything up front.
The other thing is that I did not design that page with Elementor it is your same page that you had in your template – I just could not figure out how to make any mods to it without using Elementor. I will gladly turn it all off and uninstall Elementor as I am a user of the Pro version at work, I do not have a license for it myself. And it was working just fine with me adding the logo and background image prior to us requesting support here.November 11, 2019 at 9:57 am #516575Your listings are in different cities. The core free addon is for building a single city directory. Listings added in other cities will not display on maps for that reason.
For the search page, yes, try disabling elementor there.

https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/definitions/#locationOnly Google can change that … so you will need the Location Manager addon if you want to have listings in more than one “city” [as per Google].
Thanks
November 12, 2019 at 12:51 am #516685I am so confused now.
You still have not answered why this is happening when it was working fine just prior.
This worked fine when I manually added a few places in the beginning even when the places were far apart in Tokyo.
Then all we tried to was to add our data to the system and it broke. You are referring to me to look at your documentation to verify something that is google’s fault? The documentation link you sent says it is for V1.
Japan addresses are using the same formatting “city > region > country”
I have looked in the Google Maps Documentation and found nothing at all about Tokyo or Sydney being different.
Should I set the map language to Japanese? Will that change anything?
So if I get the Multicity Addon this will resolve all my issues?
I have removed all but the original 3 that we added manually that worked before and now they no longer work.November 12, 2019 at 9:46 am #516720Did you first use the OpenStreetMaps API?
OpenStreetMaps may categorize “cities” differently than Google. We cannot control how Google or OpenStreetMaps categorize all locations in the world, and both V1 and V2 use the same API.
It is not Tokyo or Sydney that are different, it is how Google categorizes all of Japan and Australia and some other countries.
The Location Manager will solve your issues.
Thanks
November 14, 2019 at 2:22 am #517076Ok, I got it and it started working but…
You have the same CSV file and we are now getting the following error for every single record:
Row 5 Error: Google geocode failed: REQUEST_DENIED
Row 6 Error: Google geocode failed: REQUEST_DENIED
Row 7 Error: Google geocode failed: REQUEST_DENIEDthese records do not have any lat/long details and I was informed that it would not matter if I had lat or long data.
Please help us figure this out.
ThanksNovember 14, 2019 at 3:55 am #517082Your Google Map API is not set up to allow geocoding.
See https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/integrations/google/#common
Thanks
November 14, 2019 at 5:08 am #517087Here is what I have. I am not sure why you said I do not have Geocoding. Please help us get this figured out.
