BP Force profile was not allowing the loading of listings, so I disabled it.

Something is loading https:s://apis.google.com/js/plusone.js and this is causing an error (because g+ is dead) and that is what is causing the map not to load.

It may be part of your theme. Try contacting the theme author or disabling the loading of the g+ script.

And
“For development only” on the map itself

It looks like your site has exceeded request quota for this Google API.
It shows me:
“You have exceeded your request quota for this API. See https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages?utm_source=maps_js&utm_medium=degraded&utm_campaign=billing#api-key-and-billing-errors”

the widgets are gone since I upgraded the plugin, and the sidebar to put the GD widgets in are nowhere to be found on the WIDGET page

We have improved GeoDirectory v2 template system to reduce customization required for the site page layout.
GeoDirectory v2 uses theme default sidebars, so you can place GD Widget to theme sidebar and it has option to choose to display/hide on pages(see attachment).
