    I don’t see an option to leave a review for any listings, I have comments enabled under Discussion Settings and also “Allow Comments” is checked for all places. Also when I hover over the place title a large gray box fades in, I’m not sure what this is for.

    Hi Jane,

    Looks like a 3rd party plugin or the theme is causing the conflict. Could you please try deactivating all non-GD plugins and see if it fixes the issue there? If the issue persists, please share WP temp admin access to your site so we can take a better look. You can post the details here using the private reply option below.

    Hi,

    there should be an option in JetPack to turn off taking over comments, if you can’t find it please ask for support to the hosting provider..

    I’ve never seen GeoDirectory installed on WordPress.com (I was positive it wasn’t possible) is that a business account?

    I am unable to disable JetPack, WordPress.com doesn’t allow it. Attached is the discussion settings for JetPack, doesn’t look like anything should be blocking comments.

    Hi,

    you don’t need to turn off whole jetpack, just the option that makes it take over wp comments.

    Jetpack for self hosted WordPress has that option.

    If they don’t have a similar option on WordPress.com, then GeoDirectory can’t have reviews on WordPress.com business accounts.

    Its under Jetpack>discussion>Let readers use WordPress.com, Twitter, Facebook, or Google+ accounts to comment.

    I have added code to disable JetPack comments on GD post types, do you have the ability to edit the plugin files? If so i can give you the code snippet or add it for you.

    The setting for that is currently enabled (see screenshot). I do have the ability to edit plugin files but won’t any edits to the plugin be erased once the plugin updates?
