    Hello,

Thank you for this great plugin!

I believe I have found a bug. When using the [gd_listing_map…] shortcode the “Show On Map” links don’t show per listing entry.

I am using the Widget area (GD Listing Top Section) to insert few shortcodes using “Advanced Text” plugin. Everything works great (map, jumping markers etc.) as well as other shortcodes (e.g. [gd_advanced_search]) just the aforementioned links don’t show per listing.

I did find a “way around it” but I think it causes the map to load twice; in addition to the widget with my code (which appears in the “GD Listing Top Section”), I add the “GD > Gmap – Listing Page” widget to the “GD Listing Bottom Section” and use a “display: none;” on its div class to hide it.

I am aware that since I am using another plugin to use a portion of your plugin the question might not be valid but I would appreciate help or any kind of pointers regarding this matter.

I am developing the site offline so unfortunately I can’t provide a link at the moment.

    Here are the site specs:
    Wordpress version: 4.5.2
    GeoDirectory version: 1.6.2
    Shortcode I am using: [gd_listing_map width=100% height=300 zoom=15 autozoom=true scrollwheel=true sticky=true]

***EDIT: I just noticed that, using the same code on the Search page as on the Listings page (but without adding add the “GD > Gmap – Listing Page”) does work.

Thank you again for your plugin and your time.

    Ethan

You should just add the GD Listing Map widget and the GD Search widget, instead of the shortcodes.
Shortcodes are only to be used where you cannot use a widget.
I guess the listing page does not know there is a map on the page, so it does not add the pinpoint link.

WOW, thank you so much for the super fast reply : )

I understand but curious to know when, or perhaps where is a better question, will it be best to use that specific widget?

The only reason I use the shortcodes is for design reasons (being able to “stack” few divs together) so I can create a responsive page.

What I do find interesting is that the markers do bounce on that map when the mouse is hovered above the listings.

    Thanks again!

The GD Listing Map widget is for the Listings and Search pages and can also be used on the Detail pages, but not on the Home pages.

There should be no problem using the widgets for responsiveness, unless your theme is not really responsive.

Thanks for the reply : )

My apologies but I got confused with my question , I meant to write:
I understand but curious to know when, or perhaps where is a better question, will it be best to use that specific shortcode?

    Sorry again for my confusion.

    Hi,

the gd gmap listing widget shortcode is to be used only in listings and search page when we want to modify the layout of the original template.

    Thanks
