I’m extremely frustrated, I hope you can help.
    – Fresh Install
    – Thesis theme / Focus child

I would like to know how to get the listing results page to show a sidebar. Regardless of the changes I make it shows a full page. Sidebars show on every other page I have built (and assigned that template) EXCEPT the listing pages.

    I have:
Changed the short code, [gd_loop layout=”xxxxx”] I have tried changing the theme templates, I have reverted the them AND Geo directory to a fresh install to rule-out anything I could have broken in the design. I have added custom templates for each CPT, and I have have tried on the boxed templates. Nothing I do affects the listing page output.

As I have made my changes I have noticed that the body-type remains constant (template-single-gd_attractions gd-google-maps customize-support) regardless of the template and short-code changes that I make, leading me to believe this is a bug.

On one hand, I’m extremely excited about this plugin’s capability and features, it’s truly without rival. On the other hand, I have spent more time tracking down bugs than designing the website. Today will mark another day lost …

Please log into our website and see if you can see the issue. If you discover that this is a theme conflict, can you please give me credible information to take to the developer so that I can save two days of he-said she-said between devs?

I really do love this product, I’m just extremely frustrated. Here are the Thesis theme docs, login info to follow on the next post.

PS I’m taking some time to play around with the Genesis-Travel theme while you sleep 🙂

If you happen to take this ticket this evening, please switch the theme back to Thesis … there is no child theme to Thesis.

Everything you want to do will work with themes other than Thesis.
Build a duplicate site using any other theme.
Then try to do exactly the same things in your site that uses Thesis.
If the behavior is different, ask the Thesis developer why that is.
We only support GD themes and plugins, but in your case, the issues come from the Thesis theme.

I had a look at your current settings, and cannot find the Thesis theme.
It looks like you are somehow forcing the Genesis mobile version even on desktop now.

    Thanks

Just installed Genesis 15 minutes before your post. It appears that you are correct … I will finally have to be dragged from the stone-ages of Thesis and move to Genesis …

As for “forcing the mobile version” … That’s just how this themed popped up out of the box. I made a CSS hack to fix the page display, but I’m sure that’s not how I’m supposed to handle it. Is there an adjustment for that? I’m new to Genesis ..

You will need to ask Genesis about that.
Or you can use one of our 3 Genesis child themes: https://wpgeodirectory.com/downloads/category/themes/

    Thanks
