noindex on empty archive

    Hi,

    Google just spotted a problem.

    In general site setting you can say add noindex to empty archives.

    It seems that I get the noindex set where a category may have some entries, if you look at all the categories under this location they all have one item and show no index set in <head>

    I found a page with two and this is OK so seems that some code is thinking 1 is 0.

    This page has a listing, and has <meta name=”robots” content=”noindex”> added.
    I’ll get a developer to have a look.

    Hi,

    I had to disable the set no index. This means you can’t see it.

    I have a major problem with this and my other location problem I raised as it is causing 100’s of pages to be taken out of Google.

    This should be easy for you to check on a test system. Create a category with one item, set the no index for zero count and in my case the page with 1 is set to no index.

    If you can’t reproduce you can login and set it on my site, clear litespeed Cache and you should get the problem.
