When the new GDv2 Plugin was released some weeks ago (RC) I created these place categories slugs:

    -Pellet
    -Gas
    -Oel

Now I changed the Slug of these categories to:

    -Pelletheizungen
    -Gasheizungen
    -Oelheizungen

When you click now on one of these categories, still the old slug is showing: (click on left sidebar)
    https://de.offerten24.ch/places/

And that leads to 404 error page, because these slugs dont exist anymore.

The slugs should be like this:

    https://de.offerten24.ch/places/category/pelletheizungen/
    https://de.offerten24.ch/places/category/gasheizungen/
    https://de.offerten24.ch/places/category/oelheizungen/

    > Click on “Edit category”, then click “View category” and again it links to the old slug.

The old slug of these categories must be saved wrong in the database with an older GDv2 Version I guess? I deleted these categories and created new, but as soon as I name them again like this, the slug changes again to the old ones.

All other Categories work fine, just these 3 get always the old slug. But only if I change the slug to these again:

    -Pelletheizungen
    -Gasheizungen
    -Oelheizungen

Any other slug for these 3 categories are working fine again.

    Thanks for fixing

    Hi Mark,

    The login is now working.
Do you have any caching plugins active? If so please clear any cache, we use WP non persistent cache but some plugin can make that persistent which i think the problem is here.

the only reason why WP would do that is that there is a tag, category or other taxonomy in your DB with the same slug. If you provide phpmyadmin credentials, we can tell you where it is.

    Let us know,

    Thanks

they looks like tags added by dummy data. Deleting dummy data will not remove the tags that were created, you need to go to places Tags and delete them if you don’t intend to use them. Just like deleting dummy data doesn’t delete the dummy categories that are created.

    Thanks
