Open Maps Saving address

Hello,

I had someone post a listing, then entered an address, open maps couldn’t find the address. I went in and tried to fix the address they had put the entire address plus state and city, when you google the address it gives me the same address but formatted differently,

So when I save the new address it just goes back to the original address.

Any thoughts of where I’m going wrong or could this be a bug? I know there was an update recently.

UPDATE:

Above I wrote a problem I was trying to achieve from the backend admin area. I tried to change address in front end and it worked.

Backend = gps coordinates
Frontend = no gps coordinates

Hope that helps.

Thanks for letting us know.

You should never have to add coordinates, they are auto added from wherever you drag the marker on the map, or the address you enter.
Coordinates are only not showing on the front because you would have chosen to hide them at GD > Place Settings > Custom Fields > Address field > Show latitude and longitude > NO

You can always drag the marker to the correct spot, and then enter the correct street address. That should work every time.
