Overview Map on Page (not homepage)

    Hello, is it possible to show map and listing with only one custom post type activated, maybe on a single page?

    So it should work like the homepage in the demo, but show only one custom post type like “Places”. Especially it should not show the gray switching bar in the map bottom.

    If yes: is it possible to use subcategories? I.e. would it be possible to have a map (with filter box) and a listing for the following categories:
    Restarants
    -Italian
    -French
    -Diner
    Hotels
    -3 Star
    -4 Star
    -5 Star

    You can add the map to the top section of the listings page, and the popular category widgets underneath or above.
    That will show all your CTP listings and the categories and subcategories.
    If you add the category field to your advanced search, then the Customise My Search will allow you to filter on categories.

    But exactly like you describe is not possible now.

    Thank you for your fast answer and for giving me the example page! I just try to find out, what I can achieve in comparison to the page layout here or here and witch solution fits best to my project needs. I think, your example/test pages comes pretty close.

    Unless you want to design your own software, we might have to live within the limitations of the software of your choice 🙂
    That’s not different with Windows or Android or Outlook. But at least we are a bit more flexible here ! 🙂
