Page keeps redirecting to Popular Places

    Another issue that the site keeps redirecting me to a “popular places” page when i go to a category page.

    Eg. when i go to the B&B link at:

    http://visitmidlothian.org.uk.gridhosted.co.uk/places/bbs/

    a few seconds later it will reload the page and take me to:

    http://visitmidlothian.org.uk.gridhosted.co.uk/location/me/

    This morning i’d done a restart and this problem seems to be linked to allowing the browser to find your location as i denied access and the pages worked as they should whereas in firefox where i’d allowed access then this redirect occurs.

    You have given your browser permission to remember your location.

    Thanks, though surely this shouldn’t keep redirecting the user away from a page on the website? as it makes it almost unusable.

    hi,

    you could go to GD >> Advance search and enable: Ask user if they wish to be geolocated

    This should prevent your situation.
