Page not found (translation issue)

    Hi,

    I am persistently having translation issues. Now I realized that the listings for one of my CPT is leading to “Page not found”, for the main language (Portuguese), but working on English.

    Example:

    https://www.parentland.pt/escolas/portugal/lamego/public/escola-basica-de-cambres-lamego/

    https://www.parentland.pt/en/schools/portugal/lamego/public/escola-basica-de-cambres-lamego/

    I see that the slug is not translated (public, where it should be “publica” or “publicas”), but it appears translated in WPML. Same with the other category “private”.

    Can you please help? Ideally please provide an explanation about how the translation should be done, because this is occurring often.

    Check the CPT Categories for the translated versions of the categories. The WPML options on the categories page should allow you to translate the categories there.

    Hi Andre,

    Please check now after clearing your browser cache.

    Posts in PT language has the category assigned of EN language. May be because posts were translated before and categories translated later. I have added some changes to prevent 404 page not found in such cases.

    Please check and let us know.

    Thanks, it works now. And I get the problem, so if it occurs again (there might be other categories with the same problem) I should be able to fix it.
