Parse Syntax error

    Hi, I am trying to activate the geodirectories plugin on my WordPress site but I am receiving the following error.

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /home/cluster-sites/10857/t/test-trailscotland.co.uk/public_html/wp-content/plugins/geodirectory/geodirectory-functions/helper_functions.php on line 866

    I can’t work out how to fix this, can anyone help?

    Hi Jonny,

    Please update to 1.6.17 and then try to activate.

    The problem was a PHP array syntax from PHP 5.4 was used, you must be running PHP 5.3
