There is no such thing as perfect search. But if it is one of the most important elements of any website, it might be worth considering some options and discussing how it should look like what functionality should be and how much you can modify it without using a code. Each search engine is associated with the power of servers, but if we think about professional solutions, we must think about dedicated servers. I think that this is the right moment to consider the option of adding professional functionality that will allow for better, faster, more accurate searching or showing results in a more professional way – the one that has got used to large pages with ads.

The first slide will be about autocomplete.
You can see it on this page (WordPress):

Another option is the ability to add and remove all fields in the search. on hotels with hotels often starts with finding a place – so the option to look for places is a priority, not categories. It would be great if you could only search around the city etc.

The next thing is related fields, I presented a picture (visualizations – a tree) the page that uses it (WordPress):

The last one is radius search. It will be very nice to have an option – slider-range and select.

The last thing is the one I’ve done for sorting on search pages. In my opinion, it is better to have such sorting options – although it is not perfect than the lack of this option 🙂

    What do you think?
