    Hi Christina,

I succeed to access files via FTP account, but it does not have full access to edit wp-config.php file. It shows “permission denied” when tried to update wp-config.php file. Please provide full file permission access.

    – I see you have disabled GeoDirectory plugin, may i enable to check from my side?
    – Try to increase PHP memory_limit to 512M to see if is solves issue or not.
    – Provide us a access to phpMyAdmin so i can check how much it takes time in executing big queries.

    Let us know.

    Regards,
    Kiran

It has taken me a while to get back to you because Flywheel won’t let you login to do that, but they upped the memory to 512M. I reactivated GeoDirectory and it is immediately acting slow again. Actually, not as slow as it was to the point of erroring out but noticeably, painfully slow.

    Hi Christina,

I have enabled GeoDirectory and visited some pages in front-end & back-end. Pages are loaded normally in both front-end & back-end. Any specific page url that you see taking more time in loading?

    Thanks,
    Kiran

Found that AJAX-Duplicate plugin caused errors… think that was slowing it down as well. Can you take a look so I can reactivate it?

PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class ‘GeoDir_Defaults’ not found in /www/wp-content/plugins/geodir_ajax_duplicate_alert/includes/class-ajax-duplicate-alert-defaults.php:17

I wonder if that is what was slowing down my site from the beginning?

    Hi Christina,

This plugin used to check duplicate fields values on add listing page. It only executed during add listing process.

You have disabled GeoDirectory core plugin so it raises error because Ajax Duplicate Alert plugin is dependent on GeoDirectory core.

BTW do you see improvement in speed?

Yes, the speed has been good. I do notice it slightly slower since reactivating it, but not that anyone but myself will probably notice at this point!

With regard to Ajax, it errored after I had reactivated GeoDirectory… Is it possible that after I imported a large number of records it got hung up?

    Hello Christina,

Importing a large number of records does not hang up the site. It depends on the server configuration. Large data on site needs some high configuration.

    Please read more here https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/faq/server-requirements/
