    Hi, my website is in French and English (WPML). My website is http://www.salseros-international.com.

    The issue is that my home page was originally in English and now my home is in French. This change has broken a lot of my Permalinks.

    How can I solve this please?

    Hi Beatrice,

    Unfortunately, we do not provide support for 3rd party plugins and I’d suggest that you contact the support guys in WPML regarding your questions. Meanwhile, could you check on the WPML settings and see if there’s anything in general that allows you to change the primary language?

    It looks like you changed the default language at WPML > Site Languages.

    Hi,

    Indeed, the default language has been changed.

    Is this related with the fact that when I click on a link, the page “safari cannot open the page as there are too many redirections.”?

    For example, the link cannot be opened http://salseros-international.com/Ev%C3%A9nements/retro-dancing/?gde=2016-10-08

    Or

    When I click on the map, the event page does not open either.

    Could you please help solve this?

    Hi,

    you are not using WPML correctly.

    Iun string translations you had translated the /events/ slug to /Evénements/ which is wrong. It should be /evenement/ slugs don’t accept accents and special characters.

    In addition, you are not using the option to show a different slug for each language. That can be find in Translation management > Multilingual Content Setup > Custom posts > Use different slugs in different languages for Places.

    Please next time ask for support in WPML forums for any WPML related problem.
