    Hi,

    how do I deal best with the ‘Permanently Closed’ Problem?

    As Google does not like content just disappearing, I would like to show permanently closed places when the permalink is called but exclude the place from the search and listing pages.

    With the plugin ‘Archived Post Status’ I have established an archive post_status. By changing a place to archive status it is not included on search and listing pages any more. So far so good.

    If I now call the permalink of the place I get a 404 error. It seems that there is a filter in wpgeodirectory that prevents places with a post status other than ‘publish’ to be shown.

    Is there a way to show in this setting also places with post status ‘archive’?

    Hi,

    I asked to the developers to have a look. I know I had requested something similar for expired places instead of settings them as drafts.

    I’m not sure it’s been implemented yet.

    They’ll let you know asap.
