We’ve added some custom post types in the “Manage Custom Post types” section of the GD settings.

However they don’t seem to be behaving like standard WordPress custom post types when set to private and given user permission restrictions. We’re just getting 404 errors on all the individual place and event list items.

Is this a bug or is there possibly a recommended permission restriction plugin that will restrict unregistered users from viewing GD’s Custom Post Types?

    HI,

they are not regular wordpress custom post types. If you add a regular wordpress custom post type using a plugin or custom functions, it will not behave like a GD custom post type.

It will not be added to the map, it will not get it’s own add listng form with custom fields and so on.

I know many members are using s2members, but I never tested it so I can’t really endorse it.

    Thx
