Pinpoint Not Working

    Just finished our 2nd site using GD ( http://www.francofiles.net ) and discovered what Pinpoint is supposed to do. However our 1st site ( http://ybm.etempa.co.uk/ukbusinessmentors/ ) doesn’t have either a ‘bouncing’ pin on the map or give a listing preview. Thought it was a Firefox issue but now tested on several browsers with no joy.

    Where are the settings for Pinpoint or any ideas what has gone wrong?

    Hello, something is breaking the JS so you have an error in the map when hovering to the pinpoint icon..

    TypeError: jQuery.goMap.mapId.data(...) is undefined

    Please try to disable all the plugins except for the GD ones, also, are all your GD plugins up to date?

    Thanks Simone, I’ll work through each plugin and find the culprit.

    Must say that I didn’t do the recent GD update as saw lots of people having problems with crashes …. possibly do those updates first before going over my non-GD stuff.

    Hi,

    Whenever you have a doubt if the error comes from GD or from a conflict with another plugin, check in our demo, it is always updated to latest version and doesn’t use any 3rd party plugin.

    If it doesn’t work there, than you definitely found a bug. If it works, it is highly probable that the problem is caused by a conflict with something else.

    We’ve gone through every plugin in turn and also run the site purely with GD. With only the following operating it still does not work.
    GeoDirectory – Version 1.2.7
    GeoDirectory Advance Search Filters. – Version 1.0.6
    GeoDirectory Claim Manager – Version 1.0.6
    GeoDirectory Custom Post Types – Version 1.0.7
    GeoDirectory Location Manager – Version 1.1.3

    Paulo, I looked at your Demo area but that doesn’t have Pinpoint on it. Also not sure what you are suggesting we do with your Demo to solve our problem?

    If it is not outside plugins have you any other ideas or point us towards which bit of code to look at?

    Hi Steve,

    in the website where it doesn’t work you are using the wrong map.

    That’s the home map, you should be using the listings map.
