    Hi there,

    Is there any method by which we can add placeholder texts in the form fields in GeoDirectory custom post type listings ?

    Hi,

    if you mean different placeholder per custom post type, no that is not possible.

    You can only change placeholders for all.

    If you mean like a default value in some of the custom fields, have a look here:
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/#common

    Default value: A value used if the user does not enter anything.
    Only relevant for some Custom Field types.

    I am trying to convey is that i need html input placeholder text. You can refer to this description (https://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Web/HTML/Element/Input#attr-placeholder). Please let me if this is possible for individual fields of a add listing front-end form.

    HI,

    I thought you were referring to the search form. It is not possible to add place holder for all input fields of the add listing form, without doing a massive customization of the function that creates the add listing form.
