This is just an observation, it might be unintended functionality.

In the default location settings for GD I can specify a “city” that Google apparently can find, for example “Far North Queensland”, region = QLD, country = Australia. There is no city called “Far North Queensland”, this is an unofficial region of Australia.

    https://www.google.com.au/maps/place/Far+North+Queensland/

But, when I create a new listing in GD…

    1. The address validation in GD asks for the city to be “Far North Queensland” when I try to use the map to place the address pointer. (It throws up an error dialog which can be switched off)

    2. However, I can type in the address and it will happily locate that address on the map. Unfortunately I can type in any address and it will be accepted.

This is almost perfect for me, because I don’t need to specify Australia, and Queensland when entering a place, and Australia and Queensland do not show up in the breadcrumbs!

All I want is to get rid of the validation when the map is used to place a listing and I’ll be happy!

However, I realise that this functionality probably reduces the need for your Location plugin???

    Hi,

Yes u are right. This is how the GD works when u are not using mulitlocation andon, this validation will not be there when u have multilocation on.

    Thanks
