Places or Events?

    Hello:
    I am seeking the best method for Event listings:
    I have about 300+ farmers markets in each of two categories 1) Winter and 2) Summer
    During the winter some of the Markets close until spring, others just move indoors to a different geographical location but they are still open. When summer arrives they move outside into a different geographical location. In many towns there may be more than one farmers market operated by different organizations.
    How could I list them without any conflicts?
    Are these Farmers Markets places or events?
    How could I add an additional search field(s) to the home page? For example: County
    How do I change measurement from metric to English?

    Hello,

    if the location changes, then the listing owner should change the location. How about that?

    You could list them as events, but, they would just be for each year, then, right? The dates might change each year?

    good point, the dates will change every year as will the location.
    What’s your suggestion to add County to the search box?
    Also, my maps are showing meters instead of feet, how do i change that?

    You can use a Custom Field. A custom select field can be added to the search bar.
    Options for the meters/feet are on
    GD – Settings – Design – Search
