places post type simple question

    HI GUys
    I’m making a dentist directory, and would like to just have Dentists as my custom post type, and remove places (or hide it)

    Is it better to Edit the places post type and use it for dentists, or is it better to create a post type for Dentists, and hide the places post type.

    if I edit the places post type, can I edit the slug too? I think we can’t.

    Which is better?

    If the hiding place is best, how do I do that on the home page map so it only shows the dentist custom post type?

    If you choose to hide Places, all you need to do is delete all Places and Place categories.
