I currently have my url for places like this http://www.mywebsite.com/places/restaurants/. I dont want it to say “places”. I went to “permalinks” and unchecked ” Add location slug in listing urls” (https://www.dropbox.com/s/6eyg1tx2xgd7812/Screenshot%202016-08-24%2012.19.15.png?dl=0) but then i got an error when i took off “places” in the url (http://www.mywebsite.com/restaurants/). how would i be able to do this.

And i want the places (restaurants) ‘s url to be “http://www.mywebsite.com/myrestaurant” and not “http://www.mywebsite.com/restaurants/myrestaurant”. i dont want the profile to have “Restaurants” in the url

    Hi,

if you add the Custom Post Type add-on, you can create a post type Restaurants and avoid using Places.

You can also rename Places to say restaurants.

The second thing is not possible, the URL will always have the CPT name before the listing title.

    Thanks
