Plugin Conflict with WPCharitable

    HI guys,

    I noticed an issue with my WPGEODIRECTORY listings in that I could not edit them in the backend. Having disabled all plugins I deduced that the error occured when enabling the plugin from https://www.wpcharitable.com/. I’m not sure who’s code breaks what as both WPG and Charitable are creating Custom Post Types.

    I desperately wish to use both plugin sets on my site but I’m unsure who’s plugin causes the issue. I have reached out to support as well at WPCharitable as well. Any code digging or assistance here would be great. Have any other users integrated with WPCharitable?

    Hi Mike,

    Since it’s a plugin conflict, we’ll have to investigate further in order to help you with this. Could you tell us what’s not working when the WPCharitable plugin is activated? I can get a developer to check this out but would need WP admin and FTP access to your Website/server. Could you provide that in private reply?

    Hi Kor,

    I don’t think its a partners naming convention. If you try to edit Mike’s Cafe within the ‘Pit Stops’ cpt created with wpgeo also, the same issue persists, so it’s not just related to the ‘partners’ cpt i created with wpgeo.

    Hi Mike,

    Thanks for the info, i found the conflict and i made a tiny change (that wont affect anything) to the charitable plugin, the conflict will be resolved in GDv2 so hopefully there will be no charitable plugin updates between now and then.

    Hi Stiofan,

    Awesome thanks very much. Is it a WPGEO or a Charitable issue/conflict? I’ve got the support request out at Charitable still so would be good for me to update them with details or resolution also.

    Hi Mike,

    We alter the global post value to add our own values to it, they check the value to see if its a standard post value which its not so it fails. We will soon be changing to our own gd_post global value which should resolve this.
