plugin update issue – social snap

    Just wondering, when I have a compatibility issue with a non-GD plugin do I ask you guys or go straight to plugin provider?
    I have 3 sites with GD. 2 use plugin ‘Social Snap’. I updated plugin on 1 site and experienced white screen of death! (I edited live site unfortunately – not sure how to do otherwise)
    I didn’t have admin access either (white screen) so I went into hosted files and deleted the plugin to get site back.
    Now I’m not keen to update this plugin on 2nd site.
    Is anyway to resolve compatibility issue or do I leave plugin without updating?
    (Yeah I know updating live site isn’t recommended- what’s the simplest way to edit a 2nd version for a newbie?)

    Hi Leigh,

    Thanks for your post. We can help with styling issues from 3rd party plugin but since this is related to “White Screen”, it could be something serious. I’d suggest that you contact the plugin author and see if the plugin is compatible with GD.

    You need to keep the plugins updated for security and compatibility purposes.
