plugins page unresponsive

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    Hi,
    I’m having serious issues with my plugins page (hangs on load.. and sometimes i get the message: Gateway Time-out The gateway did not receive a timely response from the upstream server or application.).
    Unsure of what was going on i renamed the plugin folder and changed it back.. i then reactivated the plugins and everything was okay, until i navigated away and came back to the page and i was back to square one and the page wouldnt load… strange…!

    I then created a new hosting acc and domain, set up a new website and have the exact same issue?! (I redownloaded core, installed buddypress, then GD addons and uploaded them via http://ftp..) No idea whats happening, but im sure its GD related due to fresh install..

    Hi UF,

    This might be related to the update system we implemented, we used the EDD update system to go with their licencing system but if you have 20 of our addons active it can send 40 seperate requests to our server to check if there are updates (it’s 40 instead of 20 because of an old WordPress bug they refuse to fix), it should cache the results after it checks so the next visit should be ok until it needs to check again.

    I have rewrote the system to send only one check (actually two becasue of that old WP bug) with a list of all addons which should resolve this, i think we are doing some updates either today or tomorrow so it should be resolved soon.
