I am using Poedit. Have changed something trivial and change appeared (although strangely, seemed to need to reboot to have change show!)

    Poedit changes worked!

So…now I want to change region or Region to state or State. Replaced the appropriate term. Looked and they seem okay.

Copied .PO and .MO over to same place my trivial edit showed from. It doesn’t show.

I am using the Add Listing page to see the change from Region to State. Not seeing it.

My question is: Should I be editing one of the OTHER GeoDirectory “accessory” plugins for this change or is there something odd about editing the MAIN GeoDirectory plugin for this change?

Suggestion? (I even rebooted just to see if that might be the problem. Hey, worth a try!)

You may have to translate the Location Manager language file.
Some references to region would be in the core plugin and others Will be in the Location Manager.

    Thanks

    Good!

Not sure you saw the stylistic question above?

There could be a number of reasons. It could also be because it appears as a note somewhere.
It is not possible to create a language file that suits everyone’s understanding of correct punctuation, it may depend on the school you went to.

And it says “neighborhood” instead of “neighbourhood” because the original file is an en_US file, not a en_GB or any of other about 20 possible English variations.

    Thanks

So, if I put in a few periods, won’t mess anything up?

Wasn’t being critical about the spelling at all. Sometimes amazes me what causes anxiety during projects. It wasn’t causing me a moment of anxiety!

And…you’ve provided simple way to solve that anxiety. Thank you!

Go right ahead adding as many periods as you like 🙂
Translations should not affect anything else.
    Thanks
