Hi, is it possible to have the popular location widget category responsive?

I mean if the user is on the ‘Hotels’ category it lists location urls for hotels?

    At the moment it only links to location pages regardless of the category your on, it would be nice if it linked to;

-Location pages if your on a Location page.
-Hotels if your on a Hotel page.
-Campsites if your on a campsite page.

and so on, it’s great that it links to ‘other locations in x county’ would be even better if it linked to ‘other Hotels in x county’

I hope you understand what I’m talking about as it would make a massive change for the better on my directory.

    Thanks.

The popular location widget lists links to cities pages only.
You need to navigate to a location first, then use popular categories widget.
It is not possible the other way round; you cannot first choose category and then location.

    Thanks

Sorry I mean if a person is looking at a hotels in Cornwall say.

On the Cornwall location page it links to ‘other locations in Cornwall’

It would be nice if on the hotels in Cornwall category page it linked to ‘other locations in Cornwall with hotels’

    Thanks

    Hi Amy,

we don’t have control over what Google decides to Index or not.

My 1st impression is that the category pages now have really thin content. Probably Google will consider them only after you add more listings or longer category descriptions.

    Thank you

Ok thanks for the reply, I know you have no control over that. I was concerned I was using the wrong category widget and that Google did not crawl it.

I will try adding more text to see if that helps.

    Thanks.
