I realize this may not be the norm, but for those of us who may have
several additional fields added to the Add Listing page, would it be
possible to break the Add Listing page up into smaller chunks? If so, is that something you may want to include in a future update?

Up to a point, I would think the site visitor would want to gather as much info as possible about a business before they make a decision. And, any good business should welcome the chance to show how they stand apart from their competition.

This way the business doesn’t seem overwhelmed by how many fields they have to fill out before they get frustrated. Hopefully there could be an option to come back and fill out the rest of the fields when they have more time, but until them you still have the posting.

    Thanks,

Hi nasc, this would involve giving the business a choice to save a draft of their unfinished submission, and the option to later retrieve it.
It also would mean that for those fields that are “required”, the form will not allow to be saved until the required fields are completed. That might even be harder, if not impossible.
Even if possible, this would not be an option that most people would be interested in, I think.

Here are a few suggestions that might work:

    • Explain somewhere on a page all the different info that your form will collect, so the business knows what to expect, when submitting their info.
    • Divide your submission into a free submission that collects the basics, and then refer them to the next “stage”, which is really an upgrade option, but that will collect the next lot of data. By using the payment add-on, you can divide the submission in as many stages as you like; it will look like a temporary save to the business.

Thx, I have already done this, the basic member only has your default questions, if they upgrade to our full member they get the entire list. As you mentioned, I will just prepare them for it the best I can.

I have seen many sites do this but it’s most likely because of a plugin.
