Hello, All. I hope everyone is well. I’m still on v1 of WPGD but am planning on upgrading to v2 over the next couple of weeks. In the meantime, I’m working on an idea of using a “recommendation engine” similar to Dollar Shave Club’s hair product tool. Basically, I’m interested in creating a localized version of their generator but for a specific industry. Much like their generator, I anticipate users answering three to four questions to aid the generator in determining their final product recommendations. Their production recommendations would display with geofencing capabilities to allow them to find their recommendations nearby. Basically, I anticipate a mobile app for this model. It might be based on a forms plugin which could point to CPTs, etc. using WPForms, Ninja, Gravity, or whatever. I’m curious to find out if I could make use of the content/data within WPGD using products in a similar manner Guust suggested. I’m anticipating the results data coming from WPGD content, e.g. “the form recommends these products within WPGD.” The products might include an image, description, where to find it and contact info.

Would you please let me know if WPGD might be capable of such an endeavor?

Thanks much, in advance, for any insight anyone might offer!

    Regards,
    Kory

If you want to present the search form in a different way I am sure it can be done with a customization. I would recommend that you configure your products to make best use of the custom search options available with advanced search filters.

Once you have the results you are looking for, you would then make a query builder that could work over the API.
