    I have two questions:

    1. Can we safely update our GD sites to WordPress to 4.1.1?
    2. Is it normal for the admin to get a “published” notification although the listing is unpaid? If not, am I missing something on the prices and payments settings?

    Yes and yes 🙂
    The “published” notification probably should be called “submission” notification. I guess it allows you to contact the user and check whether they need help with the payment system.

    No, there isn’t. I think it should be able to be built, because GD knows how to not publish an unpaid listing. Sounds like a feature request, if you think it is worth it.
