In V1 it was possible and I liked it.
I only offered a free package valuable for one year. Users were reminded after the year was over.

This seems not possible anymore. It seems I really have to install woocommerce. Or is there another way to have GD fill the expiration date and send a reminder?

I noticed you cannot save your listing.
A popup says: Error: No Cart has been setup to accept payments.

    Hi karlamulder,

Thanks for your post. You don’t need Woocommere to setup payments for GD listing packages. Could you share your Website WP admin access here in private reply so that I could check your GD setup?

    Thanks!

If you have pricing manager installed then yes you will need to choose a cart. Otherwise you should uninstall pricing manager.

That is a real pity; without pricing manager I cannot have this free package thing.

    Hi,

you need to install either our Invoicing plugin (much more lightweight) or WooCommerce, but free listings will not go through check out process.

    Thanks

FYI, I asked the developers to add a 3rd option in pricing manager other than Invoicing and Woo.

    It will be:

    No Cart only free listings.

It’ll be added in a future release. Can’t promise now when…

    Thanks

Okay, thanks. I think than I better downgrade to version 1 until that’s ready. Because now no one can change their listing.

    Or maybe choose another plugin.

I am not sure if this is clear to you or not but let me try again.

You can STILL have FREE packages. No problem. Right now, though, you just need to install the cart and set the cart in the options.

Nothing will really change for your users, they don’t have to pay, and the notifications will work as you say. Right now it just requires the cart.

    Make sense?

Yes, this makes sense! I installed the (free) plugin Invoicing, and with the advanced settings on the Pricing-tab I saw the “Renewal for free package?” option.

    Thanks for helping!

Okay then! Sorry for the confusion, and we will be working on updates for free packages in future versions.

Let us know if you run into other issues!
