Is there any way at all, even with version 2, to be able to add upgrade Packages as addons? This is what I mean. If a user has a featured event and we offer them an upgrade to banner ad, (banner ad created in Packages) then if Featured is not added to banner ad Package config, and they upgrade, they lose their Featured status. So this means I have to have so many Packages: Featured, Featured + Banner, Banner only, Slide Show+ Featured, Slideshow + Featured+ Banner, I think you see what I mean. Any ideas?

I will flag your question for the developers.

The new Pricing Manager is currently in heavy development and it may be some time before they can get you a response.

Are any of the addons you are selling tied to GD features, specifically?
Or are they mostly additional services that you sell, as in, additional Invoicing items?

For example, what is a ‘banner ad’, is it including another category inside one package, as opposed to making another package?

Or is a banner ad a service you do on the directory, not specifically related to the listing or listing data?

Any details are appreciated, we are always eager to learn how successful directory managers are using the plugin!

Thank you for your interest!! Banner ad is not a geodirectory feature, its placing an ad for their event on the website in the category of their event (using Advanced ads, which is very feature rich) Advanced ads has a Selling ads feature, but it is woocommerce dependent, so we have to add the extra banner ads into the Packages, all I can do right now if someone wants banner ad, they have to have a featured listing too, they cant just choose banner ad, to upgrade, because if they already had featured listing, it downgrades them, and if I add featured to banner ad package, then anyone who chooses that will automatically get featured status too. Sounds confusing, right?

So my only workaround is 3 packages, 1-plain event, 2-featured event, 3 featured event + banner ad, no one can have plain event with banner ad.
That’s why I was asking if version 2 might give me the chance to offer upgrades independently that are not associated directly with the Listing itself. If so, I can relay to client and won’t have to try and build some custom coding for features that are on the way.

    Thank for the clarification!
I will flag your question for the developers to consider.

Thanks for your patience while we work on Payment Manager V3 (for use with GDV2).

I’m not sure i fully understand your situation but FYI, Payments manager v3 will support woo for payments, we also have our own ads manager that will be released after GDv2 addons are all out of beta which can let users buy ad space on your site and at specific geo locations.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan
