Hello, after upgrading to the latest version of Geodirectory I can no longer see the entries in the main/default post category (I have the custom post types plugin installed and there are other categories which do display). This post type (organisations on my website) does not have a physical location and I have made sure that I have allowed this in the settings for that post type. I am able to create new entries for this post type and they display on the front-end but the pre-existing entries are no longer found.

Please can you tell me how to reconnect the pre-existing entries so they show up again?

    Thanks
    Matthew

If you have already converted the site and the listings are not available in the backend, the first question I would ask is if you have a backup of the old site. The easiest thing may be to export them from the old site and import into the new.

That said, we’d be happy to take a look at the issue. Please include the following credentials so we can look into the converted site.

Please make sure to include all these credentials. Database is needed because the posts are probably still in the DB.

    WordPress Credentials
    WP Admin Login URL:
    WP Admin Username:
    WP Admin Password:

    FTP Credentials
    FTP Host:
    FTP Port:
    FTP User:
    FTP Password:

    DB Credentials
    DB PHPMyAdmin URL:
    DB Name:
    DB User:
    DB Password:

Just in case, I recommend you proceed with restoring a backup to another site, and follow up here with access to that as well.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I’m sorry, I missed out an important piece of information – I can see the entries in the back end, but the site does not display them on the front-end.

I can see the URLs for the pages for those entries when I go in to edit them in the back-end, but they do not work if pasted into the browser.

I have noticed on the new entry, which is being displayed on the front-end, the URL includes the category for that entry. However, the URLs for the old entries do not include a category (this may not even be important but thought I’d mention it).

    Thanks
    Matthew

Hello, I’ve deactivated the plugins on the network and activated them on the main sub-site. I have deleted the other sub-sites as I no longer require them.

    Thanks
    Matthew

    Hi Matthew,

Thanks for your reply. Do you still require any assistance?

    Thanks!
