Protecting your directory

    Hi there

    Happy New Year to all.

    We have a multi-district directory that we want to attract businesses to add their listings and events. How do we protect the integrity of the site by stopping ‘cuckoos’ adding their marketing messages from all over the world.

    Is the only way to have some sort of vetting system which stops a new business being visible until accepted?

    Hi Tim,

    If you need to moderate listings you need to go to GeoDirectory >> Design >> Listings >> >> Listing General Settings >> New listing default status and set to draft. Then all newly added listings will go into drafts before manually approved by you.
