Hi. I am a developer new to GeoDirectory, and so far it looks great. I am wondering if someone could give me some guidance on the following questions:

1. I want to use a different taxonomy for places than gd_placecategory . Is there a way I can either change the taxonomy or create an additional multi-select taxonomy of my choosing?

2. I’m integrating with Buddypress. I would like to associate users with places (in a many-to-many join). Will the Buddypress add-on give me that feature?

1. You can create any type of custom field, see https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/#custom [not sure that answers your question, let me know]

2. Buddypress users are still WP users, and those users can submit or “own” listings. The Buddypress addon connects the GD user listings with the user’s profile, rather than have a WP author page and a Buddypress profile page.
