    Hi guys,

I’ve just started using RankMath instead of Yoast. You posted an article about GD being compatible with it, but it doesn’t seem to be picking up the %% tags %% that are needed to add in locations in the meta titles etc.

Is there a particular setting I’m missing or option I need to enable?

    Thanks,
    Dave

    Hello,

%%tags%% work in GD Titles and Metas settings, not with 3rd party plugins. Other plugins have their own features for replacement tags.

Yoast tags include site name, site title, and page title.

Ok thanks Alex. The tags did work in Yoast. Is it down to the plugin themselves to make them compatible?

    Thanks,
    Dave

    Hi DAVID,

Yes, some variables are depends usage by plugin. Like GD has its own some variables %%location%%.

You can try %%_post_tags%% to show tags on detail page titles & meta.

David I was hoping I could PM you but evidently these forums don;t have that feature – why choose rankmath rather than Yoast?

Yoast doesn’t work fully with Elementor page builder so it’s much harder to optimise landing pages.

I actually paid for the pro version a while back but then was recommended to rank math which works with Elementor but not 100% with Geo Directory.

    Hi DAVID,

Can you have a live example where %%tags%% is working with Yoast SEO. I will check how it working there and how feasible to implement it with Rank Math.
