Rating and disabled comments

    Hey,
    I’ve had comments disabled on my whole website. Then I inserted new places.
    Since rating requires comments enabled, I’ve enabled comments only for the geodirectory place custom post type, and it happens that I can only add rating to places that were added after this change, i.e – I can’t rate places that were added while comments were disabled.

    I’d like to solve this problem since I do not want to delete and re-add hundreds of places and I’ll appreciate your help.

    You need to enable comments for the listings that were added while comments were disabled.

    Hey Guust, thanks for the reply.
    I know that’s what I need to do, I’m looking for a best practice solution for this purpose – I’d be happy if you can provide any, since the link you posted handles with disabling reviews.

    Just do in reverse: For listings already in your database you have to ENable comments for each listing, or with a bulk quick edit.
