OK… 4 more things have altered since the rebuild and I’ll leave you all alone! (sorry, it’s been 6 months since I worked on this and so still scratching my head trying to get it back up)

    – The page links are now replicating the country twice and I have tried editing in Permalinks to no avail.-
    https://electrician.org.za/south-africa/south-africa/gauteng/randburg/

    – The lists of results arent showing in the list but are in the map (this is also true on the detail webpage):
    https://electrician.org.za/south-africa/south-africa/gauteng/randburg/
    [gd_loop layout=”3″]
    [gd_loop_paging]

    – KwaZulu-Natal shows twice on the homepage Province list but shows no records when you click on either link: https://electrician.org.za/south-africa/south-africa/kwazulu-natal/

    – Is there a way to search company name in the search bar?

    Hi Peter,

    – The page links are now replicating the country twice and I have tried editing in Permalinks to no avail.

It looks like page conflicts with country slug. Make sure you have not assigned “south-africa” slug to any page. If you have used “south-africa” for any page then change it.

    – The lists of results arent showing in the list but are in the map (this is also true on the detail webpage):
    – KwaZulu-Natal shows twice on the homepage Province list but shows no records when you click on either

Check after fixing page slug mentioned in 1).

    – Is there a way to search company name in the search bar?

You can assign field in search from CPT(Places) > Settings > Search

    Let us know.

Thanks Kiran but nothing has already annoyingly.

It looks like page conflicts with country slug. Make sure you have not assigned “south-africa” slug to any page. If you have used “south-africa” for any page then change it.

There was a page there titles south-africa, however once I changed the name to ‘location’ the link just updated to: https://electrician.org.za/location/south-africa/limpopo/

I check the Permalinks and it is set it up to: https://electrician.org.za/%cpt_slug% /%region%/%city%/%postname%/

KwaZuluNatal links are also still doubling up

You can assign field in search from CPT(Places) > Settings > Search

Company Name isn’t in the list strangely. I should have been clearer pointing out that I tried that already.

    Thanks,
    Peter

Provide us a url where you seen double slugs in url.

Company Name isn’t in the list strangely. I should have been clearer pointing out that I tried that already.

Company Name(post_title) is searched by default search field “Type of Electrician”. This field allows autocomplete search as well for company names(post titles).

    Hi Kiran,
Best place to check the links is from the home page
    https://electrician.org.za

You’ll see KwaZulu Natal repeated twice in the Province list and then all Province and City link have https://electrician.org.za/location/south-africa/xxxx

What I would like is https://electrician.org.za/south-africa/xxxx as it was before.

    Thanks,
    P

    Hi Peter,

There was two entries “KwaZulu Natal” & “Kwazulu-Natal” for same region.

I have corrected it, please check and let us know.

    Regards,
    Kiran

Thanks Kiran – it’s great and working.

    What about the slug issue?
How can I get it back to showing https://electrician.org.za/south-africa/xxxx as it was before?

    Thanks,

    Hi Peter,

The slug /south-africa/ can not be used in root as it is already by the South Africa country slug. It can be used like /location/south-africa/xxx or /places/south-africa/ xxx etc depends on location settings.

    Let us know.

    Kiran
